I honestly believe that Arnold has been a good governor but happened to be in office during extremely dire times.
hahaha...Im talking about Arnold when he rode into Sacramento like a conquering hero who wasnt going to take no mess and wasnt going to do this and was going to terminate everyone.

And later he became nothing more than a Democrat in Elephant's clothing.

This is basically what I expect from Meg Whitman-more talk, no real change.

When he ran it was pretty apparent to everyone he was a moderate. He used rhetoric that was full of bravado (which did not match his actual accomplishments) but he didn't pretend to be anything but a centrist. If not for Dems voting for him, he wouldn't have gotten elected at all.

He ran on a no-new-taxes platform and the first thing he did once in office was lower vehicle registration and licensing fees.

He totally ran as a fiscal conservative, was not interested in coming across as a consensus builder and appealed to the lowest intellectual quintile of the democratic party for votes.

Remember how his hummer was part of his first campaign? It was ridiculous and totally stupid.

Ironically-I will admit that after he was actually in office and did many things I like pertaining to the environment, I actually voted for his re-election. The one and only time I've ever voted for a republican. LOL

But that was because he did many things that werent republican at all.

Whitman otoh, is similar in her approach-trying to come off as an outsider, trying to come off as a new face.

She is an outsider and a new face in politics-but it turns out that when it comes to mud-slinging and running a dirty campaign-she hangs with the very BEST of them.

No thanks, I'll pass.
