Moving to Lemoore in early August and had a few questions. Does anyone know of a good Preschool in the area? I looked in the online phone book and from the couple I have called they seem to be really expensive! I knew it would cost more than what we are used to paying in Utah but wasn't expecting that much of a jump. I also have another child starting Kindergarten this year, is there any one school district I should be looking in to? Any other info you could provide that you think I may need to know, please pass it on! We are coming from out of state so I don't know the area and I'm sure there are more questions I haven't thought of yet! Thanks in advance!

If they're too expensive in Lemoore, you might want to check Visalia, its a lot bigger city and may have a few more options. ALTHOUGH it is a 30 minute drive, however, the difference in price may be worth it, definitely worth looking into, Hanford may even have some more options and thats a lot closer than Visalia.

Utah to Lemoore is a weird move, just out of curiosity if you don't mind telling us, why are you moving?

We are relocating for my husbands job....we have actually decided on Kingsburg. Many factors made us choose Kingsburg over Lemoore, here's hoping it was a good decision! Thanks for your info!

Kingsburg is probably a bit of a better option, for daycare there's always Tulare which is a 20-30 minute drive if nothing is available in Kingsburg. Just keep in mind this area gets fog and it's worse than what we're used to (I'm in SE Idaho). While it's not freezing fog, it is 100% zero visibility fog.

Kingsburg will locate you a little more centrally for many things; heading to the larger city of Fresno, zipping to the coast or up into the mountains for when you need your snow fix

Best of luck!!

I was stationed there for 3+ years in VA 125. The comments above are true. It is a remote location, but still better than an urban high crime area. The fog was the thickest I've seen anywhere, but only during winter months (no frozen fog). No humidity in summer, but 100+ temps are not unusual.
Enjoy your stay.....It sure beats Minnesota in the winter !
