There were certainly some questionable parts to that law that I think deserve further study. Other parts seem like a no brainier though. For example, running a immigration check on people who are arrested should be done no matter what, it's just logic, just like verifying their name and address and previous arrest record. On the other hand, requiring anyone here legally to carry papers is just ridiculous. These things can easily be checked.

Gotta jump in on this remark; How does having a difference of opinion and way of thinking equate to disliking this country? What logical back-flips does one have to do to come to such a conclusion? Being a "real American" as you so often like to say means tolerating and trying to understand the other side even if it's against what you may believe. If we can't do that in the USA then none of us are "real Americans".

The things you're saying are hardly American in my opinion based on what I personally understand this country is supposed to stand for.

Exactly ceece and that's the only part of this law that I've ever really has an issue with. An entire group is basically singled out because some might be here illegally.

Fremont Nebraska is taking the right approach to this issue; they're in the works that make it tougher to hire or rent to illegals which is the way to do it. No incentive, no reason to be there or go there.

Gotta say I am pretty disappointed; however, I did see issue with the wording about "carrying immigration status papers at all times". On a whole though, I agree with 99 percent of what AZ is doing and wish California would follow suit, but I digress, because that is never gonna happen..Many people see it as racially profiling, I see it as enforcing the laws of our land. If you want to be here, do it legally like many millions of other have.

And just to re-iterate. AZ law was not overturned, as others have pointed out, it was merely put on hold until a full and accurate review could be accomplished.

I must not be a Real American, as I love the ACLU. They protect me from predatory fundaMENTAList Christians who would like nothing better than to see this country become a theocracy, as long as it agrees with their brand of horse manure, naturally.

None. Just pull your head out of rectal defilade and don't countenance or excuse illegal behavior.
