It appears the devastating ad about Fiorina is having effect. According to poll numbers, Boxer is moving further ahead of Fiorina [47%-41%]. But the ad of Fiorina coolly taking responsibility of shipping 30,000 American jobs out of the country and then buying a yacht and 5 jets is mind-numbing. Anyone who could see Fiorina in a positive light after this ad must be cold-hearted capitalists.

Why the hell would anyone buy 5 jets for themselves? That doesn't sound right. One very cool jet, yes. Five. I don't think so.

Had to look this up:

Quote:
As for the claim about five corporate jets, unlike the yacht, these corporate jets were owned by HP, not Fiorina (though she certainly used them). The Fiorina campaign also notes that the 2003 leasing of two Gulfstream jets was to replace two aging jets in the HP fleet, and the 2001 acquisition of 3 planes was to replace two planes incapable of flying overseas and the leasing of a third. We think it's safe to say the jets were a serious upgrade, but the company essentially acquired five corporate jets and retired four.

As usual, the truth is different from what a politician says. This is a problem with candidates of any party.

Most wealthy people today don't buy jets. They lease them fractionally via companies like NetJet. Larry Ellison is an exception.

Maybe if you had been one of the 30,000 workers laid off by Fiorina you'd feel less smug. Republicans have no empathy for others until they are the one who gets screwed. Fiorina is a witch but for many Republicans that's OK with them.

ITT, California Sur asserts greater business acumen than a former CEO with a MBA.

It takes someone with a really open mind to make bigoted remarks like that.

If you want to use the broad brush, use it for both parties because the fact is there's plenty of crap going around in both parties.

Two of the most "entitled" politicians I can think of are Boxer and Pelosi. Both are Dems. You, as a taxpayer are helping pay for Pelosi's 18K per month apartment. WTF is up with that?

Yeah, that's a great comparison. 18k per month apartment compared to 30,000 American jobs! It is beyond me that Republicans can even hold their heads up without an ounce of shame for such a cretin like Fiorina who not only was fired for ruining HP but made sure she got her "blood money." Fiorina is a typical Republican and that is about as low as a person can go and still call themselves American.
