That is a lie.

Meg Whitman is against 23 as well. Do your homework before you spread false truths. She has broken with the Repub's who are in bed with the Oil Companies to stand up for California.

Whitman rejected the California Republican Party's support for Proposition 23, joining Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown in standing against the November initiative that would put the law on hold until the state's unemployment rate, now at 12.4 percent, drops to 5.5 percent for a year.

Humans can't possibly be destructive to the planet.

Should be no surprise though. These are the same kind of people who thoughts AIDS wasn't their problem and only affected drug users and gay men until Elizabeth Glaser announced she had it.

Wow, what a lovely list. I like how you left out THE SIERRA CLUB who completely is behind No on 23! Yeah, they are SOOO into $$$$.

Perhaps, but at what cost? Let's bring back the sweat shops. I hear they were a WONDERFUL source of profits for factory owners. You can hire LOTS of people with those profits.

Just because something MAKES A BUSINESS PROFITS does not mean it is good for Americans, or in this case, Californians... and it does not mean it is a good place to work.

This should be a lesson California has already learned, considering that it has regulated a large number of tax base contributing companies into taking their jobs and their tax dollars to Nevada, where they've been welcomed with open arms, tax breaks, business friendly regulations, and a large number of grateful, newly employed Nevadans.
Nevada is toxic dump and that is why. They take the grossest businesses with open arms. I actually have a family member working for the Federal Govt as a Mineralist and they have said to NEVER move to Nevada south of Tahoe because it is just toxic.

Is that what you want for Cali?

Yeah, I saw a thread where you said you might be moving back to California. You know we ask for documents from conservative immigrants, right?
That's what I've heard.....

Global warming theorists are the ultimate tin foil hats. Prop 23 will pass, and the environmentalist wacko's will keep chanting the end of the world is coming, and suffering from chronic cranial rectosis.

So how was that ride in the delorian to the future where you just know for a fact that global warming is BS despite most scientist believing it's real. But we get it, you can't think rationally, it's either black or white with you, there is no middle ground. It's weird that people like you still exist in the 21rst century.

You're wrong. There's nothing but middle ground until scientists come to some sort of agreement. You're being fanciful in thinking that most scientists agree either way.

It's probably a good idea to be seriously concerned about GW due to the horrible consequences if the theory that man is causing it (or most of it) is true, but whatever California does will have little effect unless the rest of the world does it too.

Unless you have some sort of way to keep California air inside California and prevent world air from entering.

Of course I can think rationally, here is an example, don't worry about global warming because San Francisco will be wiped out by an earthquake long before global warming affects you.
Seriously though, the earth has gone thru multiple heating and cooling cycles long before man began building machines. So what caused those cycles? Gee you think it could solar related, and that it is going to happen regardless of what we do.
I have been listening to environmental dooms day prophets preach doom and gloom since the 60's when they told us for a fact we would all be wearing gas masks by 2000. Well here we are and nothing they said in the 60's the 70's or the 80's came true, but I know, this time is different.

I thought Meg said she was FOR Prop 23 last night during the debate?

Is she just another politician who speaks out of both sides of her mouth?
