The yucaipa city mgr (ray casey) reluctintly accepted a 30k a yr pay raise by the city council. He now will be earning $195,798 a yr. Hes NOT worth it for this small city of 52k people.
The yucaipa city council steal $4.34 a month from me for a paramedic fee i DONT want.

Ray casey started his job 2 yrs ago & hasnt been given a raise until last week. I think he may be full-time but a 30k a yr increase in pay in this recession is bs. I believe the avg annual salary for a city mgr is around the $200k + range but im not sure.
Its something how our tax dollar is spent. Yucaipa code enforcement & the 3 yucaipa fire stations is a perfect example of local govt waste (we dont need 3 fire stations especially since they sit around most of the time including the calimesa fire station near city hall).

But they're contract stations with SBCo/CalFire so they're a bargain compared to the city having its own FD.

IF I didn't have any skeletons in my closet, or care about subjecting myself and my family to intense scrutiny and have our lives be open books with no more privacy, Id definitely try to get one of these easy money gigs!

I just dont see how the city can justify the pay this guy gets. Govts are burning the tax payers big time & they get away with it. Yucaipa is not a quiet bedroom community like the city makes it out to look. Even the local newspaper is pro city.
