What can you do? What are your skills? What is your educational level?

I know of plenty of places that are hiring but they want a specific background. I know of others that are looking for people but it is more of entry level work.

You get up to 99 weeks. If you're been on it almost two years, then you're out.

Are you sure about that? I mean I know they have been extended it currently to 99 weeks or whatever it is but I think if you get on it now it's back to the standard 6 months isn't it?

It's 6th months on the state then the state gives you two extensions. After that, they automatically file a new claim for you and that claim is actually the federal extension and because unemployment was collect prior to that, the benefit amount drops due to lower earnings reporting.

So if I were to go on unemployment now I could get up to 99 weeks total?

Yeah, I'm thinking the people that got the 99 weeks worth, just happened to jump on at the right time, but I think that's ending next month. Actually come to think of it it's more than 99 weeks because it was 99 weeks a couple of months ago before the decided to extend it to November so it's more like 115 weeks which is a hell of a lot. I can't imagine people get allowed to collect 115 wees of unemployment from now on.
