Did you all feel that big earthquake? It happened today at 10:21 and was felt all over California.

Well not really. The state just took part in the "Great California Shake Out". It was a drill that many places took part in today to see how ready they are for an actuall earthquake. Our hospital was participating as well as business organizations, schools, other hospitals, state buildings and others. Hopefully through drills like the Great Shake out we can find out what we need to do to prepare.

Something that you may want to do is a personal great shake out within your own home. Try and anticipate what would happen, fall, break during an earthquake and prepare yourself and your home to make sure that the worse doesn't happen. Make sure that you can turn off the gas and the water if a pipe happens to break. Make sure that you have food, water, working flash lights, a way to cook the food, cash on hand as ATM's may not work.
