Not very good publicity for a state that would like to attract business and create more jobs:

Review & Outlook: The Tax Me More State - WSJ.com

Do you think it will get better or worse?

The audio is screwy, but it's worth listening to the video also.

That is an unsubstantiated rumor. Any objective person or corporate entity has already gotten the message that California is unfriendly to business (and friendly to government employees and their unions). California is currently in the middle of the process of converting 100% of the workforce to being either government employees or recipients of government welfare plans.

Sure, we're for jobs, we're for union jobs for government employees. (I presume everybody understands that I am expressing sarcasm.)

Not allowed to rep you right now, but if I could, I would.
Very useful info that people need to read before they go out and vote on the assumption that these are good measures.

Yes, I got the sarcasim right away. But there are plenty of California voters who simply don't believe Thatcher's truism about socialism never working because you eventually run out of other peoples' money.

That's so true! That's precisely why I'm moving out of state, I want to get out before they run out of my money! If that happens not only will they be out of my money but I'll be out of my money too!

I don't think the taxes are terribly high in California.

What I do think is high are housing costs.

I wish the Rent Is Too Damn High guy was running in this state.

The guy who risks his savings, works hard and pays those taxes would not agree with you. But we don't need him anyway. Good chance he's not a Democrat.

Rents too high? Brown can fix that with some good old-fashioned rent control. That's the sort of thing that was popular the last time he was governor.

And watch, before you know it there will be a CA border fence designed to keep people in.

I chose Colorado. It's the only state with a Taxpayers Bill of Rights. I graduate school end of 2011 and I will be 100% focused on finding a job in Colorado Springs or Denver areas.

When Brown and Prop 25 pass, California will become a defacto dictatorship. A one party dictatorship. If I were an elected Republican, I'd stop going to the Capital and just tend my garden or whatever.

The good thing is, when things continue to get worse and worse maybe these brainwashed idiots will realize that one party rule is bad for citizens. I doubt it though. I just know I won't be sticking around to find out.
