Everyone says the weather, and yes the weather is tops. It is very easy to take it for granted but it also should be examined a little further. You can have the ideal SoCal weather, sure. But you can also have mountain snow or desert heat. Want to shoot the rapids on a kayak, water ski on a fresh water lake? How about the unlimited ocean activities? Mountain climbing, all the way from vertical granite climbs like El Capitan in Yosemite or an abundance of trail climbing all over the state. Look at a map and see how many state and federal parks make up the state.
