Many of them look nice to me. Oakland looks charming as does Sacramento.

Would love to see more angles of Downtown Sac and Downtown Oakland. I think each city has their best angle, but what about all the other angles?

Sacramento Pics. I didn't put the famous riverfront one, because everyone has seen it... just some variations of it.

I can't get over how dense these downtowns are. It's amazing. Here in the Central Coast, the largest city's downtowns seem so much smaller to those cities of similar size. Not to mention those buildings in their downtown seem new. It makes the downtowns feel so urban. I want to visit each of those downtowns! This weekend I was even able to pass by Merced's downtown and can't believe how built up it was. It seemed the same height of downtown SLO or Downtown Santa Barbara but run down like Santa Maria's downtown buildings.

Dude seriously you're really overstating it. I have been to every single one of those places and the only dense downtown in that bunch is berkeley.

Comparing them to other cities in this state around the same size like other southern California cities I think it's dense. Merced, Hanford, Madera, Palmdale, Lancaster, Victorville, Temecula, and Clovis are all not that dense compared to what I saw. Of course, I haven't travelled much and these are just pics but they seem dense for their size of the city in California.
