According to Proposition 209,

(a) The state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education, or public contracting.

So the UC system does NOT practice affirmative action. However, in terms of professional school, like say medical school, there is a form of affirmative action in what is known as Underrepresented Minority (URM). This is utilized in both law and medical school admissions.

And there would be a lot more cheating as well, since in Asian cultures there's not nearly as much of a stigma against cheating as there is in Western European cultures.

Right, which is why the Asian population in the UC system increased so much after Prop 209.

Give the girl a break. She's probably just mad that the Asians are a lot smarter than her. Besides she's got great boobs.

Asians don't benefit from affirmative action. If affirmative action were to abolished, all the Ivy League schools will probably be packed with Asians (and Jews for that matter).

I don't think it was a racist rant. I think she just wanted to display her boob.

I think I was right. The person who was doing the racist rant was just trying to be funny. I could tell by how she displayed herself when she was talking on the phone. She is no longer going to attend UCLA as what the news say now. Here is an update:

"WESTWOOD (KTLA) -- In a letter to the Daily Bruin Friday, Amanda Wallace, the UCLA student whose racist rant about "Asians in the library", said she has chosen to no longer attend the university.

The letter, which was sent to the newspaper by a representative of Wallace, said that she was trying to be humorous, but amid fears for her safety, she has decided she will no longer take classes at the school."
