I guess it all depends on what a person wants to do, I enjoy owning a home and having a fat bank account and living in the valley had provided both, i can visit any place i want but i don't need to live there.
The valley doesn't affect me in any way I've lived in many towns, cities and other states, there are worst places by far to live.

I visited San Francisco once. The drivers there were mean. Honking and everyone seemed to have road rage.
