And a waste of money. It costs approxiomately $25,000 to introduce a bill because of Legislative Counsel and printing and distribution costs. That applies each time the bill is amended as well.

That is an excellent point.

I dont trust any of them to actually spend money where they say it will be spent.

The only way to secure that is to write into law provisions that will specify where they money goes.

And then that creates another problem-what if that money would be far better served paying for something else?

We should provide some leeway to them-maybe if two-thirds agree to divert funds elsewhere then they can do that.
