Ferretkona, as long as Amuricans call France France and not Francia, and Call Germany Germany and not Deutschland, feel free to practice the Freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution and spell it Columbia.

Oh, and Mystical Tyger, Christobal Colon was not Columbus's given name... Kinda gotcha there too. Time for more google.

France in French is France. Francia is France in Spanish.

But you still spelled "Cristobal" wrong in your DM to me, although I see you corrected it here

Anyways, I wouldn't worry about it...the people complaining about it here are the same people who complain about their neighbor's house color or every other trivial thing in the world. The only difference is no one will even bother giving them two seconds of their time in person, so they whine online, where everyone is a tough guy.

btw...COLOMBIA the country is NOT also known as COLUMBIA the city or state! It's spelled with an O in English. It's not the same as Italia or Italy...this debate always irritates me because it shows how f**&ing stupid and UPTIGHT some people are! lol
There's a state called Columbia?

"Mass" for Massachussetts is okay because it's 1 syllable instead of 4. "Cali" besides being a large city in South America, is 2 syllables, and therefore unusable.
