I had no idea he passed. I grew up watching him. Quite a while ago we stopped getting the L.A. stations up here. LIke KTLA, KCOP, KHJ, KTTV. When the news was at 10 and channel 13, 5 and 9 were actually 13, 5 and 9. Cable companies suck. RIP Hal.

I don't know about the others, but George Putnam died just a few months ago. I had the awesome pleasure of meeting him a couple of years ago at a petition signing event in Chino. He was the most warm and personable man, and funny, too.
