So I saw in movie this place and I am wondering in which California cities I can find it? It looks so great I definitely want to live in a place like this!

(It's not that I want to find out this specific place, but I want to know where I can find a place where is small river between houses. Something similar like in picture below)

Looks a little like Naples in Long Beach as well. Not sure which film it is, I see Kurtwood Smith is in it. He is a heck of a nice guy to talk with.

If you know which movie it is you can Google the movie info and find out the location.
Often the movie credits say where the movie was filmed.

It does look like the Naples Canals. http://www.google.com/search?q=Naple...w=1258&bih=646

That's Venice CA. I'm pretty sure I've been on that particular canal. I recognize the foot bridge and hedges along it.

Edit - more proof:

Ok, after scoping out some pics on Google, I have to change my answer. It's Venice.

What movie was it? Valentine's Day?

I always wondered about the canals in Venice. Do they get enough circulation to keep the water clean? Venice seems like an interesting place to live ... to say the least. Not sure I would enjoy the ambience at this stage in my life.

I lived in Venice before it got yuppified, could never afford it now. If you want something in the Bay Area, Alameda has developments that look very similar, but newer housing stock. Also pricey, though.
