- California then planned to tax any sales that occured through the Associate based in California and use that as revenue to fill the budget gap.

- Instead Amazon retaliates and ends the program for California based businesses all together (there are 10,000 of these that partner with Amazon that may close)

- Californians still get their Amazon stuff and can buy it online, but do so from an associate online that is not based in California and we get no tax.

- California web businesses that were in the Associates Program lose revenue, fire some people, and contribute to unempoloyment.

- California gained no tax revenue because Amazon refused to sell

-----Am I right about this???? Seems like this just makes the budget problems even worse and people will just buy via an associate not based in California.
yup ... that's correct!

You didn't think our California government would actually take actions that would benefit California business did you? That would be anti-liberal. The liberal politicians in California, and around the the nation, especially in Washington, want more people dependent on government aid. All they need is the voting majority to keep liberals in power. Eliminate the middle class and make them dependents of the state and then tax the rich.
