I am wanting to plan a fishing trip to get away from the hot valley. Can anyone tell me about fishing around Morro Rock? I have been there before and only caught very small fish. It looks nice and deep. Has anyone had any good luck there?

Take a party boat. You will catch a lot of good rock fish. off the rocks at Morro Bay, tis not so good with a chance of being washed to sea.

Try the pier in Cayucos about 6 miles north of Morro Bay. www.cayucosbythesea.com
