A liberal, comes from the word "liber" in latin, means free, a liberal is free, from among other things, the fear that creates conservatives.

A liberal does not live in fear, of muslims or enviros or socialists or commies or terrorists or Mexicans.

liberals drink good beer, not bud lite like the conservatives (you know how I know conservatives and not liberals drink bud lite? On all OHV trails, used almost exclusively by conservatives, the standard litter throughout the state, is, empty blue bud lite cans),, Oh, and liberals pick up the trash the conservatives leave behind, because they like the country they live in.

A liberal lives a pretty fun life, gets the pretty girls, and is responsible for everything good in in this country, including this country.

Conservatives have done nothing good for this country, and I challenge you to come up with anything constructive they have done.

If it were all so simple...

Distilled:

Too much restriction does not allow for adaptation: the organism dies, usually when out-competed.

Too much growth is cancer: the organism dies, consuming itself.

Should we not have a combination of both?

I believe California has gone down one path too far.

Right, a county government shouldn't be endorsing Christianity, this is in the constitution and is what is meant by freedom of religion. You have a problem with freedom of religion and the principles the country was founded on.

How is having a tiny cross as a nod to LA's history an endorsement of religion? Somehow I doubt the ACLU would have a problem with this if it were any other religion in LA's history.

Like I said ... the progressive liberals are trying to change our society and rewrite history. I guess you have never been to Washing DC.

Our country was founded on Christianity.

How is having a cross in a county seal an endorsement of religion? Is that a serious question?

Now, I would agree, this is likely a waste of time and they can spend their time on more fruitful things, but these sorts of endorsements are clearly unconstitutional and are only accepted because the majority of folks ascribe to the religion being endorsed. Its mob rule, the exact sort of thing our liberal founders were trying to avoid with the constitution and bill of rights.

Really? Can you find me one mention of Christianity in the constitution or bill or rights?

The foundation of the US government was more informed by the works of John Locke, the founder of modern liberalism, not Christianity. I'd highly suggest you read some of these works and also the founders writings, you'll find little about religion in them other than of course discourse about the freedom of religion and religious tolerance.

Its amazing the alternate reality you folks have created for yourself, but seriously, the books are all available, why not try reading them?

Regardless, tax-free internet transactions from other states aren't going to lost much longer and this has nothing to do with liberalism. All states want the tax revenue and brick and mortar retailers are lobbying heavily for equal tax treatment.

Personally, I'd love it if all states just eliminated the sales tax (a regressive tax) and just raised property taxes.

Californians with his mentality are worthless IMO. If that is the best that they can contribute in a discussion then I just take it as another ignorant and blind California cheerleader.

Get over the ya'll thing...not everyone from from Texa says ya'll Actually most Houstonians don't use it...we are big city slickers not hicks from the sticks.

I will do what almost everyone else does that comes here and finds out how stupid the voters are. We will make all that money for the next 25 years and take our retirement and enjoy it elsewhere. But while I'm here I will rock the boat for a better California.
