Did anyone get a rainstorm yesterday ? For some reason alot of rain & thunderstorms seem to miss yucaipa alot esp during the summer. I can hear the thunder in the mountains but thats it. I guess i spoke too soon. Its raining now @ 5:33 am. First rain i have seen all summer.

Daughter is up at cross country training camp in the High Sierra this week. Called yesterday morning to say it was raining at 7000ft where they were training.

So CA is to blame. We had a gully-washer yesterday - thunder, lightening and .20 inches in 15 minutes. See how y'all are.

Well actually like illegal immigration we can blame the Monsoon weather on Mexico as well.

The rain sure didnt last long. Alert hammond sang in 1972 that it never rains in southern california.

Its raining again @ 10:am. Nice & cool. Its now 10:46 am & still raining. This is a rare treat in so.ca (yucaipa) this time of the yr.

It must have rained here very early (early for me sleeping in on a Sunday morning, that is). It's extremely humid and smells like rain and there are small puddles on parts of my front courtyard and back patio where I know the sprinklers don't leave puddles. Reminds me of this song by The Alarm:
