Hi everyone,
I have been searching for an apartment on the Peninsula for a few weeks and I have found openings in two complexes: Schooner Bay Apartments in Foster City, and Hillsdale Square Apartments in San Mateo. I have to decide ASAP on which one I will take, as my employer is paying for my housing while I'm here for the next 6 months. Does anyone know anything about either of these buildings to offer some advice?

I am a 29 yo single F looking to live somewhere with a social scene and convenient to shopping/supermarkets, so I know San Mateo might be better for that, but the Schooner Bay Apts look a bit nicer/newer and have better views, so it's a toss up for me! I have to drive all over the Peninsula for work (anywhere between SSF, Half Moon Bay, and Redwood City), so the commute will change every day. Also, are either of these apartments in unsafe areas? Any help is greatly appreciated as I have to decide by tomorrow morning! Thanks!
