Hi All

Does anybody know of a site that has climate maps for California? I want to be able to look at the state as a whole and see which areas have what type of climate, average temp, rainfall, snow, etc., then be able to zoom in to more specific areas or go to another page and get climate info for that area. Something more detailed than, say, Sunset's climate zones. I know that if I do a search for a specific place that usually there will be sites with various stats. But I'm looking for a site where if I were to just close my eyes and put my finger on a spot on the map, without entering a name, I could then zoom in or go to another page to get climate information for that area. Make sense? Does such an animal exist online?

Thanks for your help!

There are tons. Here are a few I grabbed from my bookmarks:

ESRL : PSD : Clickable Map of US States

Weather Station History : Weather Underground

Moderator cut: link removed

National Weather Service - NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard

Average High/Low Temperatures for KCMA : Weather Underground

NOAA Home Page - NOAA Climate Portal

Thanks Charles! I bookmarked some of your sites.

Say if I wanted to find areas that had summers over 120 or had annual rainfalls of 200" (I don't really, just an example), are there roadmap-type-maps that would show this kind of info? So I could look at the state and say "Oh there's an area with 120+ and there's another area. Wouldn't want this area over here because it's too cold or whatever."

Thank you for your help!
