San Francisco is a great city, and so is San Jose in my opinion. I kind of have a SF bias only because I've frequented it much more often than I have SJ. I was wondering if you could list any aspects that SJ has that SF doesn't have; positive things about SJ that SF lacks. I think it's easy to dismiss San Jose as not as great as SF, but I know there has to be great things about SJ. From what I imagine, SJ seems quieter and more laid back than SF. Don't get me wrong, SF is virtually laid back capital of the world. But I just think SJ has less action than SF might have, thus a quieter atmosphere. To me it seems like SJ has a lot going for it. A great hockey team, nice weather, a minor league baseball team. But I really don't know much, and I would appreciate your input.

Thanks

San Jose offers a lot more "anytown USA" than SF does

First thing that popped in my mind. That and the trappings of big-box, chain restaurant suburbia.

San Jose has many more highly performing public schools as far as test scores.

San Jose has a far lower crime rate.

San Jose affords you more for your money as far as housing cost(which is funny cause SJ is usually much more expensive than places its often compared too).

Those are the three things that pop into my head right now.
