I'm shocked

No firms have agreed to collect 'Amazon tax'

"We’re not aware of a single online retailer that has registered with (the Board of Equalization) to collect sales tax because of AB 28X (the official name of the bill)," Runner said. "According to Board of Equalization staff, the number of out-of-state registrations in July 2011 was actually lower than July 2010."

I buy as much as I can from Amazon because they don't tax me.

Ca tax us on everything. I think it's ok for us to get a break on it sometimes.

I must admit if it weren't for the lack of CA sales tax I'd go with Newegg.com for my computer supply needs (which are many!) instead of Amazon. Newegg is in California so even with having what is usually the lowest price Amazon beats them by default with the lack of sales tax collection.
