How odd, I pay pretty close attention to politics in Europe (that is where I buy my shirts) and I missed that total failure part. I see societies that provide healthcare for all citizens, at a total cost per capita much less than here in the US of A. I see countries with far less social division than the US of A

Muslims in general I don't have an issue with, its the ones that are hell bent on killing everyone that don't accept and follow the Muslim religion that I have issues with.

Vastly more muslims have been killed by Christians than Christians have been killed by muslims in the past 10 years alone.

The ones that are actively planning to wipe-out Israel ...

Yeah, I never have figured out why the Muslims are upset the Christians created a Jewish state on Muslim inhabited land... go figure.

the ones that are infeltrading various countries to eventually take control and convert to a Muslim society.

This dear donnie, is complete and total nonsense.

Egypt is being taken over by the Muslim brotherhood and we see the same thing happening in Libya.

More nonsense, and even if it were true, don't you agree that nations should be able to exercise self determination?

I don't give a crap what Jefferson said. Over 76% of American citizens identify themselves as Christians. Our country is Christian based ... no matter what your liberal socialist leaders tell you.

Not accurate, you like what Jefferson said that you agree with, but not what you don't agree with. There also the problem that socialists in this country are about as common has hen's teeth, let alone that there would be a socialist leader anywhere in this land.

This may be true in a general sense, but, that does not make our country Christian based. Our country is based on the Constitution, try to find any mention of Christianity, or god in the Constitution.

Your final sentence is telling. Conservatives operate in a hierarchical fashion, normal people don't. Conservatives have and follow leaders, whether Glenn Beck or some politician or another talking head, Which is why Conservative talk radio is full of "ditto" heads. Normal people are not structured hierarchically, they do not need nor follow leaders, which is non conservative talk radio does so poorly. The funny part of this is that most Conservatives are simply unable to get their minds around that simple fact, and are completely unable to see that non conservatives simply do not follow leaders.

As Will Rodgers once said, "I am not a member of any organized political party, I am a Democrat.

Goes right along with the Annie Hall quote from the movie of the same name and pertains to most political parties anymore: ""I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member. ...."

Attributed to Groucho Marx.

Don, I enjoy engaging with you. I find your ideas on the state of affairs to be excellent reading; completely preposterous,
but fun to read.
It is seldom that I run across anyone with so many ideas so totally at odds with the fact based universe.

Keep them coming.

I think that it says something about the human condition when someone can believe stuff for which there is zero evidence.

Well look at you two ... you realize you have just exchanged a pair of posts without a single snipe at each other? This must portend something. By golly, if you two can do it, the polarized politicians can do it as well!

Haha, maybe when hell freezes over.

Actually the Congressional Repubs didn't complain as much as I thought about the Obama's Jobs Act, at least initially. Of course they still have to say their ideas are better to not give up too much politically, especially with elections looming. Politics and posturing before country, appearances are all important as you know.
