I'm trying to think in their shoes. Why would I go to another forum that I shouldn't give a rat's ass about and post negative crap? Hmmmm. Maybe it's insecurity? Boredom? Envy? All of the above??

Help me out guys. . .Why start a thread like this when you can post in other forums like your own or maybe other states that have been hit hard such as Michigan, Illinois, Arizona, etc etc. I know CA isn't the perfect place but why all the hate here?
One problem with your analysis ... the landscape is changing in California this time and the good jobs and businesses are either gone or going. California's ability to come back is fading quick when the talent and jobs are gone leaving a whole lot of illegal aliens sucking the blood from the California system.

California has shot itself in the foot yet again but this time with a shotgun. The problem they didn't think about when the opened up the illegal immigrant floodgates is you can't close the door any longer. California can't just say "we have our votes now so lets close the door because we can't afford anymore" ... once you open Pandora's box ... its open and open for good. California may very well return to Mexico at some point.

Conservatives, not likely. For all their other faults, most still love this country and bear no love for any country whose citizens are all too willing to violate our sovereignty; some with the knowledge and aid of their government.
Well now see, there you go backsliding into the behavior that folks identify you with ... conservatives love this country? Conservatives love their own arses and wallets ... and that's the end of the line with them ... they don't show the slightest respect for the foundations of America or the character of California, for that matter. As for "bear[ing] no love' for other countries that 'violate our sovereignty' -- well, sir, conservatives don't have any respect for any other country, regardless ... and don't hesitate to declare war on others to make a buck either ... if they can't use others for profit there is never any hint of respect. But I'll grant you that liberals tend to be boneheads in their lack of realism (and often spine).

Yeah! I know. It's tree-huggers and kumbaya singers....umm....Democrats who do a lot of that:

WW I - Wilson
WW II - Roosevelt
Korea - Truman
Vietnam - Kennedy/Johnson

Justa keepin' things in perspective, Grasshopper.

WWI, WWII, weren't started by Wilson and Roosevelt ...
Korea is sorta arguable, conspiracy of groups ...
Vietnam was a complete Democratic blunder ...
Afghanistan a miserably misguided campaign from the start, and ridiculously continued ...
Iraq? uh, could there be a greater example of nefarious application of greed and stupidity given the teaching precedent of Vietnam? (Other than the Rothschilds financing both sides of WWII, that is)
And calls for bombing Syria and Iran? from whom? -- oh yeah.

And for all the above, who profited chiefly, chief?

As for the " tree-huggers and kumbaya singers", I don't mix and mingle, never did, not my culture ... but I can say with complete certainty: they damn sure didn't start any wars. But, in any case, my point was clear, and stands: po' folk don't start those kinda troubles ... rich folk do ... and you can take that to the bank

I have lived in both CA and the Southwest and can't tell you how many people I know who have lost their jobs in construction, landscaping, food service and housecleaning because of illegals.

Three examples:
A hispanic friend who is a 4th generation mason and was making a steady $30-40 an hour and has supported his family for years, can no longer compete with cheap illegal masons being hired now. So he is the first in 4 generations to have to try and find work in another field.

Another friend had to give up his job as a stucco and drywall specialist; couldn't get hired anymore with all the cheap illegal competition.

A divorced woman I know started out cleaning houses 10 years ago and slowly built up her own successful housecleaning business. She was supporting two kids, but now cannot survive anymore because of all the illegals she has to compete with. She has applied for welfare.

The press won't cover these stories because it is not politically correct. Shame on you for staying in the politically-correct darkness. We should be hiring Americans FIRST, and then fill left over jobs with LEGAL immigrants, and yes, we definitely need more legal visas in some areas such as farm labor--not hard to do.
Isn't that the free market at work?

Hair-splitting. They were the Commanders in Chief when we entered them and, of course, we have to give a bit of credit to the Japanese for the latter.
