My parents requested informaton on the Dell Web 55 and over homes and were told California does not allow them to send information via the mail!

My wife and I were out in June and I had Dad on the phone as we walked the Dell Web community. My wife took pictures and we brought an information packet back with us

Makes me feel as if California is holding retirees hostage!

The same thing happened when my in-laws requested info be sent to them in CA. With prop 13 I don't know why CA would want to keep people in their homes. It would be better for the state financially to have those who've been living in their homes for decades sell so they can tax at the new assessed value.

Maybe the material is so fraudulent they don't want it shown to anyone like a lawyer.

ROFL. They do have quite a profitable business going on over there don't they. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the "this house actually cost this once you put in all these upgrades" paper on the counters in the models. Beautiful homes, but come on!

That's interesting.

My husband and I went to the new Del Web 55+ homes built near us last year. They got our names and address first, gave us a packet, then let us tour all the homes and take pictures.
About a week or so later they called and told us they were having a price reduction, and we have been getting something in the mail from them about every 3 months.

A state generally cannot block the US Mail except in cases of fraud etc.
