Just got my paperwork back saying I can retire today. Have lived in Southern Cal all my life (4th generation) and want out. Too big and too fast! Thinking central or far northern Cal orall even heading for Oregon, Washington. Just want slow and quiet. Any suggestions?

By "far Northern Cal", do you mean a place like Redding or a place like Crescent City?

Actually Nevada County all the way to Mariposa County (and eastern Madera County too - Oakhurst and Coarsegold).
