CA is internally pretty badly divided with respect to these metrics.

The money is in the coastal urbmons, the rest of the state is mired in poverty.

Going to the map source page, looked at the stats for "houses without bathrooms"...what's with Arizona? Half the state has no bathrooms???

There was a guy writing in Slate a few years back. The way he put it was, California is like what you would get if you cut and pasted some Monacos or Singapores into 1976 Mississippi. Or something to that effect.

I notice that there's a female to male income disparity for about half of Texas (and almost all of Mississippi ), while California is pretty equal.

A lot us mixed race folk are on the West Coast. Except ... wait ... Oklahoma? What? The bathroom thing is just weird too, IMO.
