If you know your history you will know that the workforce did, for the most part remain in place, working as sharecroppers, course if you knew your history you would not have made the post you made.
That's wrong. Lots of blacks moved north and worked in factories.

The anti illegals want the illegals gone, leaving no labor force.
I kinda figured everyone would understand that.
No ILLEGAL labor force, yes that's exactly what I want! The legal labor force is plenty big enough as it is. Take a look at the unemployment rate if you don't believe me.

It is also important for you to know
a. Illegals make the same amount of money that legals do.
b. Growers don't hire their workers, the workers do not work for the grower, the grower has no idea what the status is of anyone, cause they don't do the paperwork.
b. that growers don't set wages (Ah jess dunno how many times I have to remind ya'll) The market sets wages.
c. Field workers make about what Federal Wildland firefighters and paramedics make.
d. If you want to pay workers more money, let me ask;
1. Do you want the government to set the wages (socialism)?
2. Do you want the growers to form a cartel to set wages like OPEC did with oil?

Those are your choices, choose one.
None of this addresses the fact that thousands of illegals live in Santa Ana and not one of them works on a farm.

Really? In what time period? Tell us what kind of factories they "worked" in.That many freed slaves left the South does not affect my statement. If you think it does, it is time for you to do a little historical research.

No, it isn't, not by a long shot. Last winter and spring the Farm Workers Union advertised all over the state for non hispanic workers to come and work in the fields, out of the millions of unemployed, fewer than 10, that is 10 people showed up, I believe 3 lasted the season.

I understand why you posted what you did. After all, looking up your information before posted would be presearch, not re-search now wouldn't it?

I have not and do not address any facts that I am not conversant with, unlike some, I stick to what I know. I know nothing of labor conditions in large urban areas, and I try my darndest not to anything about conditions in large urban areas, on any subject.
