I'm on a bike tour down the coast and I'm planning on catching a train back home to Washington from San Francisco. However, things might go wrong or we may not make it south in time. In that case, I might have to catch the train in Redding or Chico. Anyone know of a bus that I could take from the coast to one of these cities? Greyhound is out of the question, unfortunately, because they won't take my bike on the bus.

Redwood Empire Lines runs a bus from Arcata to Redding but I'm not sure what their bike policy is like. The only passenger train through Redding is the Amtrak Coast Starlight, which comes through once a night. Amtrak may also have buses operating to Arcata or Redding: Stats about all US cities - real estate, relocation info, house prices, home value estimator, recent sales, cost of living, crime, race, income, photos, education, maps, weather, houses, schools, neighborhoods, and more

Amtrak's Thruway bus simply goes down the coast to the Martinez station twice a day. There is no Amtrak bus east from the coast to Redding or Chico.
