You keep forgetting the fact that its 98 Billion $$$ in 2033 $$ and not 2011 $$$....which in that case makes it still feasible....to build....

biggest pork barrel since the 1930's. when american streets are safe people will leave their cars and walk to the train station and not b4. secure the borders, enforce the law give back our streets and we will ride your rails.

Another expression of that "can't do" attitude that made us famous. All that "porK" in the 30's...rural electrification, the Golden Gate Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, Hoover Dam, schools, hospitals, courthouses... investments in roads, buildings and infrastruture that still benefits our society and economy 80 years later, all while putting people to work. What a waste that was.

LA's crime rate is at or near a 35 year low. Immigration has stabilized. Time to build.
