But how many people would recognize a white handkerchief as a French flag?

I live in an extremely liberal enclave (and am generally immune to surprise by the more outrageous actions by officials and the populace), but the judge's ruling on this even raised my eyebrows. Free speech advocates from both ends of the political spectrum should jump on this.

So how long before flying an American flag on your own house is considered a hate crime against Hispanics?

Hey look, it's a new bill in Sacto!

SB 10076: The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

It shall be unlawful to display, fly or represent the American flag in any way, shape or form on the following dates:

• May 5
• September 15

This is what happens when you let millions of people into the county who have no intention of assimilating into the existing culture.
Uh, kids, Cinco De Mayo is pretty much an American drinking party, it means little more more in Mexico than January 18 does in the US.

To say that there are millions who celebrate Cinco De Mayo shows they don't have any intention of assimilating into American cultures ignores the fact that millions from Mexico have assimilated into American Culture, and it ignores the millions of Americans who celebrate Cinco De Mayo, generally without knowing what it is.
