Ugh... it finally happened

The magnet of easy social welfare, the high unemployment(much higher than the state average), the dumping ground for parolees, the permissive use of drugs, the minimal law enforcement presence, add whatever social ill you want,,, it has all had a cumulative effect,,,,

And the beautiful county that I moved to from Los Angeles to escape the craziness of city life in California has finally changed

We're not in Oz anymore Toto....

I second that. Don't your local news.

Go to the Census for actual facts.

It's not all fully the truth. Crime, unemployment, and other factors has hit alot of placers harder than usual. And if you're in California and in a city over 50,000 population chances are there is going to be some sort of crime.

Heck, even the richest cities with safest neighborhoods have crime.

Oakland has very high crime, but some parts are very desirable.

Redding might be number one on the list for like two years, next year it will be one of the San Joaquin Valley communities again....
