Right, but are any of them [illegal aliens] the sole title holders? How many of them have title to their home in the the state of California?

Maybe it is more common than we thought:
"While it's illegal to hire undocumented workers, there's nothing wrong with lending them money. In fact, federal and state governments are subtly encouraging banks to issue home mortgages to illegal immigrants through little-known individual tax numbers. Banks are also training employees to speak Spanish and guide customers into homeownership."

Many Illegal Immigrants Becoming Homeowners With Legal Mortgages Monday

"While law-abiding homebuyers must supply airtight proof of identity, legal residence and a Social Security number to lenders, illegal alien purchasers such as Cabrera (a visa overstayer who recently received a green card) need only supply a "taxpayer identification number" issued by the Internal Revenue Service. No criminal background check is required before applying for a TIN, which many banks now accept from illegal alien customers as a primary form of identification. "

In Texas, maybe, which is the state the article is referring to.

The article is from 2003.....those lending practices are long gone.

most all field workers have exactly the same documentation. If ICE comes to a labor contractor to check worker papers, all paper work is in order. This is a big business, far to much money is at stake to risk it by hiring workers without documentation or paying them under the table.

Field workers, illegal or legal all have the same FICA SSI Tax etc witholdings.
I know of many illegals not paying FICA or social security numbers.

Only those committing felony document fraud or identification theft have a fraudulent social security number in which to pay taxes in the first place. Find even ONE illegal "independent contractor" who pays taxes.

But also don't forget the huge shipments of drugs being brought in and how many illegals are working for the cartels in getting those drugs over and distributed to every US city and town. When an illegal is driving the most costly vehicle and living in the most opulent house, you can suspect they have "connections", because picking lettuce and working as a dirt cheap live-in nanny doesn't bring in the really big money.

What you have found may be interesting, but in an industry that is completely dependent on Illegal Labor, Ag, All, here, let me repeat, all labor contractors require proper documentation and with holding as per regs.

I know that some people get excited about the fact that some people work under the table, but, in a $40,000,000,000, not many do. So, we have many many people working, having taxes etc with held, but they get precious little back. The balance goes to reduce the Federal Deficit... So we should commend the illegals for helping America financially, both with their assistance in getting your dinner to your table, but for their helping reduce the deficit.

Yep, illegals make millions of dollars taking away jobs from Americans. And wait... they are also very lazy, not working at all, just waiting for hand outs from the government.

Hmm....is there a contradiction here somewhere?

Illegals do take away the wealth of citizens, How so? You first must understand that whatever the government spends comes from taxes/borrowing/printing money i.e. inflation. People pay for this directly or indirectly one way or another

When the government gives out public assistance to illegals, where does the government get this money from? Taxes. Please dont start the argument that illegals are paying income taxes because they dont. The gov is taking money from taxpayers and handing it out to illegals in the form of public benefits/assistance

I never said illegals aren't hard workers, but in order to live in socal on min wage jobs and raise 2-3 kids , you have to be getting help and a lot (not all) of the time illegals are receiving public assistance
