Seems that there are jobs. Most people seem happy. Here is a slide show, last weekend, happy people.

And going to school. She can catch up on a couple of math classes at Cuesta that will be cheaper than U of H where she is a Junior.

This is her choice, she cannot abide sitting around. She has been back a week, went to the beach, a couple of parties, and is bored out of her mind. So she picked up an extra job.

However she isn't really the point. The point is, jobs are out there. That both she and her boyfriend picked up a job immediately upon return, and he too has picked up a second job, shows that jobs are there.

Now, if someone is unemployed, one can create a job. My wife and I both created jobs, jobs we enjoy. We haven't worked in our careers in 5 years.

Might as well do it while she's young.

i guess she WAS the point since you're saying "jobs are out there" based on two (young) people.

Tech sector is doing ok. We've lost 6 to other businesses in 6 months. My Company needs to take notice before we lose even more.

you can take what I said as useful information, or you can dismiss it as irrelevant, makes no difference to me, but, another reader may decide who the right attitude.

I work seven days a week, and I am old, the difference is, that I don't get paid for much of what I do.

In the olden days I cut and sold firewood in the Autumn, between fire season and ski season.

Owning a successful business here in Fontana, so do I. But the difference between now and back then is: I'm not doing what I was doing back then. I couldn't if I wanted to.

what does "who the right attitude" mean? i'm just trying to figure out where in california i can move that would have jobs you could actually live on. and not even having a week off in six years is beyond ridiculous. i don't know what you mean by creating a job. but it sounds like you are quite well off, whatever you do.

He is .. and by working 7 days a week he means watching workers on his land (some illegals) do most of the hard labor. You wouldn't expect an old man who oft. comments : "why aren't there more people out here working the land for pennies .. illegals do it and are happy?" to actually be laboring 7 days a week... And surprise : he isn't. Perspective.. it seems some who are quite removed from being young, finding a home, and making it for a family don't have any.
