Nah, I think what will happen is that when decisions are made you will see many things go to voter referendums.

The voters will become the de-facto opposition, which is pretty ironic (and funny) since the voters put the representatives in office.

Generally this is referred to as debate or an exchange of ideas, I fail to see why this is a bad thing.

Gee, I seem to remember Hillary and Obama going at it pretty good also ...

Democracies were intended to be messy, contentious and obstruction filled. Something liberals have forgotten.

Our democratic republic, created by progressives, was certainly NOT "intended to be messy, contentious and obstruction filled"... such was certainly accepted as unavoidable -- but the intention? Hardly. The intention was to have an open, transparent system of checks and balances, debate, negotiation, and compromise. And today's liberals certainly haven't "forgotten" anything of the sort.

Regardless of whether one position or the other -- Democratic liberal or Republican conservative -- is actually right or wrong, the system of debate and negotiation and compromise is in the crapper. And it is absolutely clear that today's GOP is the obstruction that requires a good plunger.

Default Democrats Poised to Have Legislative Supermajority in Sac

Hang onto your wallets. That should be easy as they'll be a lot flatter. The sad thing is, they're spending will just breed more spending and I doubt there will be much positive or lasting to show for it.

Of course, I could be all wrong. For California's sake I hope so but my long-term experience with the Legislature says the odds of that are slim..

The tyranny of the majority. Glad to be minority.

I always keep in mind that the Nazi's were elected into the reichstag. My grandma had to live under them in Italy.

I'm always wary of the majority.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, well get this: you know who had "fair" trials, Stalin! Uh-huh, well I for one will NOT tolerate this violation of human rights!
