I have people I know in Sweden and trust me, living over there may be good on paper, but in reality the it really sucks living in NE/Scandavia.. They can't even purchased a bicycle without regulations, paying all these taxes etc.. They get random inspections of their properties to see what possession they have that are "Un-claimed".. And the government taxes them on all their possessions..

Things like that are thankfully unheard in America
I am not advocating what may work in small countries will work here in the USA... And yes I am thankful for my liberties. However, I do not care to be enslaved by my government... A government by the people should be for the people.. Your very wealthy politicians that want your vote here in the states do not want you to look at changes in the status quo.. is all I am saying... Ask yourself what is best for you? Your family, your community... Not what is best for your wealthy greedy politician that wants your vote, and does it by by striking fear in people and dividing them....

Your points on Sweden are off topic. I would not mind comparing notes but not here on this thread.. I will just say I have not seen that or anything considered oppressive. Yes, laws are laws and enforced strictly.. .. Taxes are on topic... Yes taxes go to health care and education, a large percentage of the population, is well educated and able to earn a living wage.. Having a modest home in the city and a decent lake cottage in the country to take advantage of those long vacations..

Yes I think here in the states, we still hold the edge on standard of living, but we seem to be slipping fast... This concerns me, as it does you..

Perhaps we can borrow some innovative thinking from Venezuala, Cuba, the former USSR or go to the history books to learn from the Nationalist Socialist German Workers Party. They are/were all "innovators". You'll say no fair, the NAZI's were fascist. True and so is the socialism that you preach.

Never thought I'd see the day when socialists would openly avow their screwball, anti-liberty, failed ideas on public forums. But why not? They teach the same thing in colleges don't they?
And irrelevant, deflective, crybaby gibberish abhorring education would seem to be the province of the self-identified "right... zzzz.
