Like many jobs in CA it would probably be to your advantage to speak Spanish.

I served in Vietnam, 1965-67.

The only reason anyone found out was because one of the marines happen to only take half a pill one day and woke up while they where both feeling him up.

So why don't you refuse to serve with all Doctors then? That would make more sense.

Be aware many people do not like game wardens.
I have met a few I liked enough. Really odd to get the shake down on opening day thou. Pulled me over on a dirt road, patted me down, checked my deer permit. Many are way too aggressive.
Even the USFS have become jack boots here. We get just as much DUI arrests from USFS as we do from the CHP. You can not have a single empty beer can in the back of your truck or they write you up.

My professorial experience with Fish and Game is they are a very squared away bunch. They're pretty buy the book, but remember, a significantly higher percentage of people they contact are armed - more so than other LE. They do run enforcement 'stings' on opening day for permit checks, but they do so because those checks yield a ton of cites.

From my experience, yes. You'll want to do your own due diligence, though.
