California's SB48 may be repealed (Redlands: 2015, credit, school)

The atrocious and wildly misnamed "FAIR Education Act", stealth legislation passed in 2011 which seeks to normalize homosexuality in the minds of California's youngest school children, will likely be challenged on the November ballot.

Move to repeal SB48 almost halfway to goal

"It has been less than a month since the Redlands Tea Party Patriots launched a local effort to collect signatures to repeal the FAIR Education Act (Senate Bill 48), picking up steam along the way.

The group has collected 400 signatures so far, 600 short of the goal of 1,000 they need to turn in before the July 17 statewide deadline.
John Berry, spokesman for the Tea Party Patriots, said he is pretty confident the group will reach that goal before the planned Tax Rally on April 17, crediting the group's door-to-door canvassing and Market Night booth for helping to collect needed signatures.

'I don't want to say that it's concrete, because we all lead very busy lives, but if we get everything together, we can get 1,000 (signatures) by the tax rally,' he said, adding that members of the Redlands group have been collecting signatures from neighbors, friends and family members on their own time, asking Berry for extra petitions as needed."

Is this the one that says we have to say a person was a homo along side their accomplishment? I don't really see what there is to normalize homosexuality. It's been a constant in most every civilization since antiquity (you can pick which one, it doesn't matter). Anything that's been around that long is pretty normal human behavior, imo.

Lots of things are "normal" in that sense. Many great men in history committed adultery, for example. Yet I don't want third grade school textbooks - or even twelfth grade school textbooks - obliged to mention that these otherwise accomplished people were adulterers. Adultery is bad. The effect of such a law would be normalize adultery by removing the moral censure and the social stigma that is rightly attached to it. The same applies to SB48 and homosexuality.

California has no money that isn't from the taxpayers whether they be so-called "state funds" or are federal funds. They all originate in the people's pockets; even those the feds have printed.

Bunnies don't lay eggs? Dang! So these colorful eggs being distributed out of baskets with flowing ribbons carried by flaming rabbits isn't a "normal" thing? Outlaw it!

The damn eggs are all over around these dancing rabbits ... what's a guy to think? The things we teach kids! Dang it!
