I'm looking for a Live Wood Saw Mill in the state of California or someone with a mill that can mill live wood. I'm not looking for industrial grade wood.

So..
You are looking for a sawyer, with a portable mill to come to were you have a tree/log that you would like turned into boards?

I am that person, but not in California yet... If you want to wait a year or two...

What kind and size log do you have? What do you want to make?

Anyway,
Maybe contact Woodmizer, they are a sawmill manufacture, they should be able to hook you up with some one in your area/
Or
Try the Forestryforum.com On there you should be able to find a local sawyer....

Typically we do not want to come out for just a small log or two, but sometimes will..

If you just want to mill one log, or have a special project, you could consider getting an attachment for a chainsaw... Something like a lumber mate, it allows you to cut boards with a chainsaw... Check out Bailey's, online, they are a California based logging/equipment supply company.. They might be able to help you out too..

Try Palomar College.

Their urban lumber program includes a mill.
