Big sonic boom this morning reported over several counties in the foothills. Most likely a piece of the Lyrid shower. Some apparently saw the trail of it even in daylight.

Someday, there will be a really, really big one of these, and the mother of all sonic booms. That sonic boom will flatten anything underneath it, like what happened ~100 years ago in Siberia. In fact, something even bigger than that will eventually happen.
