Do you have any plan to leave CA? If you decide to leave, what's the most possible reason?

Already did that for a reason not listed - governance. COL was a factor to some degree but that points back to bad governance as well.

I left this year because of the job market. I would one day like to move back to the west coast, but unless the unemployment rate drops dramatically I won’t be doing so.

I chose "living cost", which I'm sure will get the most votes. I'd prefer not to leave California, but when I retire, my finances will dictate where I live (probably in Phoenix - euwww).

Leaving California when I retired and coming to Tennessee lets my pension check go much further. If I had stayed in San Luis Obispo I could have "existed." But thats all. I want to do more than just exist. I want to "live!"

Like Curmudgeon, I left in the 70's for greener pastures....found the Arkansas Ozarks where my 20 acres cost me $4.96 in property taxes....but what drove us from CA was drug use on the grade school playground...
