Lets just say I want to live in a nice area in each of these cities. I would hypothetically make 200k a year. Where can I have the most luxurious life?

LA still has relatively cheap areas like Long Beach.

San Diego is typically the cheapest but has the lowest paying job market of the three.

I've always heard San Diego was right behind SF in terms of rental prices, then LA/OC.

In terms of dollar cost of living, I doubt there's a significant difference among them.

I find SD is much less expensive than SF overall, but some coastal pockets like La Jolla are comparable.
