Having worked in the theme park industry for two decades, neither am I. Price increases in SoCal theme parks are usually annual. Sometimes twice a year just a smaller amount usually.

From the OC Regsiter's version of the story:

"A Disneyland Resort ticket offers a tremendous value for guests to experience our world-class attractions, and is based on the quality experience we consistently deliver," said Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman, in a statement. "Like all business, we periodically evaluate and adjust our pricing structure to ensure we are offering a great entertainment value."

Translation: We're going to keep sticking it to you until its not a very good value anymore.

Fine with me, I'd happily pay an extra 20 bucks if the park was noticeably emptier when I went there.

I hope it doubles. That way I don't have to make excuses to the kids.

As long as attendance doesnt drop disneyland will continue to burn you. I think parking is $5.00 but it may be higher.
