I have had the pleasure of visiting the state on a number of occasions and can't help but note how beautiful and diverse its offerings are. From the desert to the mountains, from the cities to the coast, California offers something for everyone.
I know about the politics, budget, environmental and immigration issues that are often discussed on this forum and the news, but wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the obvious--California is a beautiful state.

It's easy to ignore politics and budget issues when you live paradise.

When people say CA is expensive, I remind them; you get what you pay for.

Nope, beauty of form will never be better than beauty of character/behavior.

That is why many are leaving CA, that know how outwardly beautiful the State is.

No state can beat CA. They'll be back.

We so often are presented with tirads from visitors from the rest of the U.S. that, sadly, your gracious post is a novelty.

I don't remind them of anything, esp given the mindless triteness their comment.

Worst, they denigrate what they can't have. "Yeah, it's nice, but... "
