Do you have some sort of direction connection to Nullgeo's thoughts? Because otherwise you too are....interpreting his commentary. But heck, let's ask him.

NullGeo:

What do you mean by "educated-elite"? Are you talking about anybody that is an educated and/or has expertise?

Calm down and go back as painful as it might be and re-read everything he posted and how much he looked down on people who are educated and how they are all just pompous elitists who look down upon those less fortunate.

Besides it really does not matter at this point...we all read what was written and if you have not noticed this thread has run it course.

See you in music land!

*sigh* Just in from hiking with the dogs. Outstanding conversationalists. Rarely misunderstand anything I say

No, I didn't ever say or infer what TVC15 is reacting to. I have never in my life said or inferred any such.
I have been lax lately in trumpeting my own credentials:
I have undergrad and graduate degrees myself ... in both [performing] arts and in health sciences.
I also have a pretty substantial financial net worth ... I'm no 1%'er, but I suspect the vast majority of Americans would love to have the level of wealth I do.

Now then, what I was saying was in response to something ytg was preaching: that it is the poor who "transfer power" to the rich ... he was arguing that the poor foolishly empower the rich. I responded as follows:

If there is any shame in the exchange [meaning the exchange of power ytg suggests], it should be leveled at those [unscrupulous individuals who do take advantage] sophisticated and expert at what they do ... that is the level at which knowledgeable will is applied to taking advantage of others at the expense of society and the environment -- purely for personal gain and gratification. Once a person becomes fully aware of their actions is the point at which full responsibility is called for. Until then it is the frailty of undeveloped human nature. Would the poor do the same damage if they had the chance? Undoubtedly. But they aren't. So if anyone wants to call BS, level the call at the actual perps. Simple. It's about intellectual honesty and spiritual integrity.
... meaning that any shame should be leveled at those sophisticated, well educated, highly experienced, wealthy professionals who take advantage of opportunities that do damage to the society we all share.

That is not to generalize that all wealthy, or well educated -- to which both group classifications I also belong -- do take advantage of destructive opportunities for their self-interests.

TVC15, I am not out to humiliate you. You have simply made some statements about the poor and uneducated in this thread that come across -- blatantly -- sounding elitist. When I said so you ceased to read with discrimination and thoughtful analysis, and apply logical consideration to the points I make. You appear exceedingly upset and defensive ... but you are the one painting yourself into that corner. And your ally and friend ytg has similarly jumped to his own defensive assumptions.

And still no one has been able to dispute my points about the greatest damages being perpetrated by members of the wealthy, well educated elite ... while the poor do no more than self-destruct.

If that's trolling -- I dunno. I think I am making a pretty damn good observation, of course

Also intriguing how some supposedly well educated, high earning individuals can be so infantile ...
