I think SD would "wow" them more with it's looks and location and weather. I'm assuming midwesterners would be "wowed" anyway...haha.

San Diego likely offends "Real America" the least

What? You expect "cosmopolitan" from the CA Legislature and Governor?

They used to refer to Long Beach as "Iowa on the Pacific" so at some point it must have been very attractive to Midwesterners.

Sacramento has the most Midwestern feel of the major cities in California.

Sacramento feels the most like Tokyo or Hong Kong.

Which is still not very Midwestern.

Anyways, out of the three, I chose San Diego. Because SF and LA are always being demonized by people from outside of CA. I think SD would win because it gets less negative recognition, is more conservative and Midwesterners would probably be more comfortable in that political climate while being wowed by the natural scenery.

Trona gets no respect. People talk trash about it and call it a dump.

I did vote for San Diego, as I think it comes closer to fiiting in with what midwesterners would consider thier type of place with better weather, but respect can mean something different to everyone and I don't think it can be applied to any city.
