I renewed my CA drivers license about 6 weeks ago. Went into the local DMV office, took a picture, paid my dues, etc. 6 weeks later, I still have not recieved my new drivers license. Any experiences here?

How long did it take for you guys?

Took more than 2 months to send my daughter's license. They said they messed up a set of pictures or something like that.

That was about a year and a half ago.

Tried that today, 2 times. First guy told me that there was no way he could check, but it should be here soon. Second gal told me her computer was down call back later. This after waiting 1.5 hours for them to call me back each time. Wonderful.

I believe they are still relatively backed up with the new DL's with advanced security features, even though its been 2 years since their release.

When does your temp expire?

The DMV system crashed today, and wasn't up yet by the end of the day, so both people you talked to were doing the best they could.

I would assume that it will be up by tomorrow--they usually work all night when there's a problem.

Went to Fullerton DMV in March to get a new license. Less than 2 weeks later it came in the mail.
